Can you provide me the driving directions from Kelowna to the Stonebridge Lodge building in Big White?
Big White Ski Resort is 56 km south-east of Kelowna, the largest city in the Okanagan Valley. From Kelowna Airport, turn left onto Highway 97 South. After 4.9 km turn left onto Highway 33. Drive for 32 km until you reach Big White Road where you turn left. Drive another 24 km and you will find the Stonebridge Lodge Resort on your right as you approach the main village, the first building just beyond the Bullet Express Chair Lift. As you enter the driveway, Building 1 is on your left, Building 2 directly in front of you, and Building 3 on your right. The car parking for Building 2 and 3 is interconnected, whilst Building 1 car parking is seperate. There is elevator access from each car parking area.

Will I need to pack a hair dryer?
Each condo has a hair dryer fitted in each bathroom.

Is there a grocery and liquor store in the village and how far is it from Stonebridge Lodge?
Yes, the Market at Big White is your full service, on-mountain local grocery, deli and liquor store in the heart of the village. It is about 4 minutes walk from Stonebridge Lodge. The store is comprehensively stocked and in addition to groceries, fruit and vegetables and certain delicatessen lines, they also stock wine, beer and spirits. The store is not as large as the major supermarkets in Kelowna and you may wish to pick up special items you need on your way to the resort, passing through Kelowna. The Market at Big White will home deliver. Big White Beer and Wine is a stand alone liquor store in the Village Centre Mall. They offer  ‘the best of B.C’ from local wineries, distilleries and up-and-coming craft breweries, sourced from the 100 + wineries of the Okanagan and Similkameen valleys, along with 30 craft beers and ciders, and a selection of local artisanal spirits. Can I order groceries on-line and have the order home delivered to my Stonebridge Lodge condo while staying at Big White?
Vacation Food Services based in Kelowna offer a ‘door-to-door’ home delivery service to Big White Ski Resort. For an extra fee they will even unpack the order for you. Alternatively, Kelowna, your airport gateway for Big White Ski Resort, is a large regional town and has an extensive range of grocery and specialty food, liquor and department stores. If you book a private resort transfer with Discover Okanagan Tours they will allow time for a shopping stop en route to Stonebridge at Big White to buy your provisions.

Our family has many devices that access the Internet, like smart phones, iPad’s and laptops. Is there Internet available in your condos and if so what charges apply?
Yes each of the Stonebridge condos has secure wireless Internet available for guests, Wi Fi. This is a FREE service to our guests who will be provided a secure pass code for the duration of their stay. Full condo amenities here.

I believe there is a Gym or Fitness Centre available for guest use, can you advise what equipment this consists of at Stonebridge Lodge?
The Fitness Centre facilities are located on the ground floor of Building 2, with a sunny outlook to the mountains. Tthe centre is available for use by all guests. Hours of Operation are noted on the door. The Fitness Centre currently includes; Two Walking/Running machines; a Cycle; a Cross Trainer Step machine, and a Weights Frame that has a variety of exercise options.  The Fitness Centre also includes lockers, an exercise floor mat, separate ladies and men’s shower and restroom facilities, as well as a flat screen display with digital satellite TV channels. The indoor/outdoor heated plunge pool is also accessed via the Fitness Centre providing a refreshing indoor/outdoor swim experience for guests.

I see your condos have good media and entertainment facilities. Will I be able to rent DVD’s and games in the village or access movies online, such as through NETFLIX?
With the speed of technology change there is no longer a DVD hire outlet in the village BUT some condos provide a selection of DVD movies and Playstation games for guest convenience. If you are a guest from North America you could bring some DVD’s or games with you that should be compatible with the equipment. With regard Playstation games, these are usually open region and we have had Australian guests bring their own favourite games for the kids (and grown ups!). Note: Southern Hemisphere DVD’s do not generally play on the equipment. If you are a NETFLIX member you can access your NETFLIX account via the TV remote control APPS function.

What types of electrical outlets are used in Canada?
Canadian appliances operate on 110 voltage, and plugs are either two flat parallel prongs or two flat and one round prong. Make sure you bring some adapters for your plug configuration!

Is there a fee to park my car at Stonebridge Lodge?
Parking is free for guests at Stonebridge Lodge Resort. The complex has heated underground car parking that also includes lift access to the all floors for your full convenience. Each condo has one allocated car park, and signage to assist in locating your designated car park. There is some limited visitor parking.

I understand Big White has an Ice Tower. Exactly what is it and can I climb it?
Big White Ski Resort installed a 60ft Ice Tower in 2010. It is situated in Happy Valley, in the Adventure Park. Visitors to Big White can climb the tower. Each side of the tower is graduated depending on climbing experience, a beginner side and the remaining three more challenging. An instructor supervisors each climb and is there to assist guests enjoy the challenge. For more detail this link including video will assist you plan your climb up The Ice Tower.

How are disabled guests catered for at the resort?
Stonebridge Lodge Resort at Big White has elevator and disable access to all floors within the complex. The Powder Hounds Adaptive Ski Club is part of the People in Motion non-profit organisation. Their program at Big White is available to children and adults with disabilities who wish to participate in downhill skiing. The program is designed to meet the needs of athletes who are either intellectually, physically or visually disabled and operates 7 days a week during the regular Big White ski season.

Can you tell me the key public holiday dates in Canada during the snow season?
