Air Canada to resume flights to Australia
Breaking News – Air Canada has announced they are resuming schedule flights between Sydney-Vancouver four times a week, with the first flight lifting off on December 17, 2021.
A popular route with skiers and snowboarders during the northern winter, this is welcome news to our clients in Australia who have endured international travel restrictions since the pandemic began in early 2020.
The founder of licenced travel agency,Stonebridge at Big White, Sue Thorley said today, “this is the heaven sent news we have been waiting for. We are ready for the onslaught for skiers and boarders who have missed out on at least two if not three ski seasons between the northern and southern hemispheres. Our phones are running hot with ski enthusiasts desperately wanting to start planning their Canadian ski vacations.”
“Now all we need is our partners at Big White Ski Resort to welcome Australians back with open and fully jabbed arms!” she said.
Air Canada has mandated, passengers must be fully vaccinated to fly. Canada’s government has introduced strict travel requirements for COVID-19. All passengers entering the country must be fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine. AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Moderna are all on Canada’s approved list.
You must also provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before travelling. The information must be provided by the Canadian government’s ArriveCAN app. You also must have “no signs or symptoms” of COVID-19 in order to be granted entry.
